Happy 2 Months!
Happy Two Months, Miss Vivvers!
The past month has brought many smiles, some spontaneous and some coaxed, and lots of interaction. You are cooing to us and just now starting to respond to our coos back. This month you fell in-love with the ceiling fan and smile at every one of them in our home. You also fell in-love with your playmat and the big sunshine at the center of it.
In month two, you can roll onto your side and are trying hard to roll onto your stomach; you can grasp and hold a rattle (crayon, playing card, toy, or whatever we offer you); you can hold your head and chest up all on your own--even while on your belly. But the biggest, hardest thing you are working on this month is growing teeth.
Yep, you're teething at two months old! This doesn't surprise us since big brother had his first two teeth at the ripe old age of three months. All the signs of early teething are there: drooling, hand-sucking, chewing on clothes, teethers, pacifiers. Your pediatrician believes it will be a long, drawn out teething process, but we hope not.
This month you weigh 11 lbs. and 12 oz. and are 23 inches long. You still sleep mostly through the night, going to bed around 9pm and waking to nurse around 3:30 every morning and then going back to sleep until 7 or 8am. You are awake most of the day, cat-napping twenty minutes here and there.
You're growing and learning everyday and we're loving every moment.
